First report of clustering monarchs in KS -05
Last evening around 5:30 I stopped by in our president's backyard. It
was a beautiful evening and the Monarchs had started to settle in -
there were probably a couple of hundred butterflies, both males and
females, but quite flighty. I noticed there were many more coming in.
So this morning I stopped by again around 7:45. All of the butterflies
were gone - a likely result of the severe thunderstorm. I do not know
if that's it. Maybe we
will have some more coming here tonight and tomorrow?
