This morning when we arrived in school, our Monarch was just emerging from its chrysalis. We waited for its wings to dry for about two hours. We took it outside at 12:30 PM. We named our Monarch "Patrick" because we knew it was a male and it is the name of our school. It flew to the evergreen tree across the road and stayed on the branch as we watched it.
