Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/21/2005

Number: 1

In the afternoon, thousands and thousands of monarchs were feeding on goldenrod and New England aster in the Port Dover area of Ontario near Long Point on Lake Erie.
. Towards the evening, large clusters formed on nearby trees. According to John, it would not be an exaggeration to say some clusters contained 3000 - 4000 monarchs.
