Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/20/2005

Number: 1

Last week we saw 2 monarch butterflies in our nature garden, but this week we didn't see any. We learned that monarch caterpillars only eat milkweed and we found one plant in front of the school. The monarchs we saw were feeding from our butterfly bushes. We noticed that the butterfly bushes had fewer flowers and most were brown. It is raining today so we couldn't go outside to check our nature garden.
