Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 09/23/2005

Number: 1

They're here! I thought Tuesday was a good day for them, but you can't go outside anywhere in town today without seeing monarchs on the move. A co-worker found many overnight clusters with "hundreds of monarchs" in the SE part of the metropolitan area. We had a mild front come through within the last 24 hours, so they may be riding the wind on the back side of that.
It's nice to see, since we have not had a highly visible migration here in several years.

Look out Oklahoma, here they come!
