We were in downtown Milwaukee Wisconsin this morning for a large run/walk on the lake. We observed about 10-15 monarchs (bright colors...none faded) every minute flying directly south. It was overcast and chilly (65 degrees). During the 2 hours that we were down there we continued seeing a steady flow of them. It appears that they were coming from the trees along the Lake Michigan shore so possibly the spent the day yesterday crossing the Lake. It has been overcast, chilly and raining off an on all day but I continue seeing them (although not the numbers we saw this morning.
