Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 09/26/2005

Number: 1

We have been studying monarchs in out 3rd grade classroom. We received larvae from Monarch Watch on 9-20-05. There are 11 caterpillars. Each insect is one centimeter long. They are chowing down on the delicious milkweed. We think the caterpillars will be splitting their skin and forming a chrysalis in about five days. We'll post info as soon as caterpillars make their chrysalises.
