We were seeing an average of 7 monarchs an evening the last 10 days. All were flapping southward against a wind. This evening we counted 380 roosting in our trees. I was very surprised because I had never seen so many monarchs in my life. Last year we only saw, on October 6th, 120 monarchs in our backyard trees.
