The Monarchs are here! Out on Fisherman Island I had 82 in 1.5 hours. When I got the the hawk watch platform they had recorded 515 by 10 am. best estimate right now is there have been 700 seen so far.

I got permission to tag Monarchs in a 3 acre Alfalfa field and tagged 9 in 20 minutes. The owner of the field reported that they get 4 crops a year and the first crop yields 1000 bales of Alfalfa, pretty good crop for 3 acres. I could get to all of the Monarchs in the field, I will return later in the afternoon.
