In corpus Christi, Texas on saturday Sept 24th and sunday sept 25 i saw 1,000's of baby monarch babies fluttering all about....was an awesome sight...but some looked to be dark brown to black....but some had the monarch coloring....it was so cool to just stand there and have so many of the fluttering over head. and the friday before i had on my back fence a female black witch moth, wing span of 9 inches....i had never in all my 56 years had seen one...just wanted to share my sighting. there breath taking...thanks...LIN
