Last p.m. (9/29) I observed many monachs coming into roost around Zoo grounds. This a.m. (9/30) probably had over 1,000 roosting about the zoo. We were catching them 2-5 at a time.

We have seen a steady flow of monarchs in the butterfly garden here at the Oklahoma City Zoo for the past 2 days. Today (10/4) I went down and found 25 nectaring on one butterfly bush. Saw two mating and found one monarch caterpillar 2nd instar maybe. We had 2 volunteers tag 25 in about 30 minutes, so we are officially out of tags here at the Zoo. Since Friday (9/30) of last week we tagged 225.
