Saw at least 100 monarchs nectaring in goldenrod and New England aster on Eastern Point in Gloucester. Some were flitting around the light house area right on the ocean. I tagged 12 by carefully catching them by hand as they sucked up the nectar.
The security guard at the lighthouse said that there were more the day I was there than in the previous week. Don't know if this is peak yet, but a good show compared to other falls when we have seen very few.
