Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/06/2005

Number: 1

I'm glad to know the monarchs are coming through in large numbers in some areas, but that is NOT the case for us here in Arlington. Usually by now we have tagged 200 or more butterflies in the garden, but we've only tagged about 10 so far. We also usually have lots of eggs and larvae by now, but again, that is not the case. We did have eggs today, so maybe some of the group that is still north of the Red River will come through with the cold front.
