I have been watching a significant number of Monarchs fly through here in the last few days so this morning I sat for an hour with a pare of binoculars over a field of new wheat planting. I counted 71 flying across the field. I don't ever remember seeing this many. We are located about 15
miles north west of Syracuse, NY (43°7.388'NL 76°23.498'WL). We have not
had a frost yet and the weather has been very warm for this time of year.
The weather is suppose to change tomorrow so I don't expect to see them again.
