Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/11/2005

Number: 1

I'm a bit envious reading all the accounts of 1000s of monarchs in Texas. But we did have fun in our own back yard yesterday afternoon here in Elizabethton in northeast TN (36.4N). Between 5:25 and 6:30 p.m. we counted 92 flying overhead/through our yard. We were able to net and tag 20 that decided to drop into our butterfly garden on their way.
