We had a very large population of butterflies on our property located on
FM 552 between Fate and Royse City on Sunday and Monday. The lawn was
wet from an earlier watering and they were all over the lawn drinking in
the late afternoon on Sunday. Late Monday afternoon there was a large
population at the back of my pasture resting in the trees and eating
from flowers that bloom from what I call iron weed. There were only a
few left on Tuesday.
