Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 10/20/2005

Number: 1

We rescued this butterfly in a light snow storm in Taos, New Mexico, right in the heart of the plaza. We took the butterfly with us in our car for 3 days on a short road trip, siteseeing through New Mexico. It stayed with us in our hotel room at night and in our car for those 3 days. We would go outdoors with it on our finger or on our shoulder. It would not fly away. It seemed stunned. But started drinking water the 2nd day. We left it at a bed and breakfast in Albuquerque the day of our flight home. I wonder if you could write back to me and explain to me what you think of its behavior.
