Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/14/2005

Number: 1

Friday evening, Oct. 14th I witnessed approx 200 to 300 monarchs flying south over our neighborhood here at Canyon Lake. This was late afternoon just ahead of sunset. They were heading south. I have looked during the day on Saturday and again today and have not noticed more than a couple of two or threes at a time. Saturday and today just ahead of sunset there were what appeared to be stragglers still heading south.
