Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 10/23/2005

Number: 1

Today was a magnificent day for monarch watching in Cape May. The goldenrod is still blooming and now the montauk daisies are blooming in our garden. At least 3 dozen came through during the afternoon. We went to Cape May point briefly this afternoon and then went along the ocean dunes area where goldenrod is abundant. Sure enough, many monarchs were nectaring. Had to have seen several hundred all in all. What a great migration this fall!
