I said goodbye to my last monarch yesterday. It emerged from its chrystalis late Saturday evening. It was raining and cold so I placed it in the shelter of a holly tree. I checked on it Sunday and placed it in the sun so he could warm up. The next thing I knew it was gone! I guess he knew he had to hurry. I miss them already.
