My third graders and I planted our tulip bulbs in a brand new tulip bed near our school sign on Haggerty Road. It was bright and sunny, but chilly (about 50 degrees F). We had to wear sweatshirts and some even wore jackets. We watered our bulbs right away, but we had
some rain this weekend to help us out. We were glad to get our planting done last Friday because the first hard frost will be coming to southeastern Michigan soon.
