Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 10/16/2005

Number: 1

We were guests at a fall festival just outside of San Angelo on Sunday afternoon and while we were watching the talent show we realized that the trees were covered with monarchs. It was interesting to see that even though there were hundreds of people and the music was very loud, the butterflies did not seem to be disturbed at all. After discussing this with some of the folks that belonged to the church there we found out that the monarchs come to these same trees every year.
