Monarchs were coming through in the hundreds through the 24th and coming in from Matagorda Bay from NE to SW. Saw a number DOA on the west beach.
Fewer since the front but still plenty. Likely 200+ on Welder Flats area near Seadrift yesterday feeding on various composite. I have made no serious effort towards accurate numbers. Leps abound in the county especially on Magic Ridge....... So many bugs so, little time.
