We, the students of St. Joan of Arc School in Los Angeles California, were very excited when we observed a sole monarch butterfly soaring across our school yard this Friday! It was orange and black, so beautiful! Some of us have seen a few monarch butterflies at our homes, but that experience does not compare to the excitement of our school sighting.
