The sixteen 1st-5th grade students in our small school in rural Alaska planted 100 tulip bulbs this afternoon. We were relieved to have the job completed, as our first snowfall is forcast for tomorrow. Before planting the bulbs we weighed them and sorted them by weight. The students wanted to plant the heaviest bulbs in one plot, the medium weight bulbs in another, and the lightest bulbs in another.
