Oct. 29/05 - Three monarchs spotted from the observation tower of the Holiday Beach Migration Observatory near Windsor, Ontario
Oct. 29/05 - Don Tyerman, Biodiversity Specialist at Presqu'ile Provincial Park (Ontario) - located on the north shore of Lake Ontario opposite Rochester, New York, observed one monarch at his home just east of the park.
Oct. 31/05 - While moving some concrete blocks in the Presqu'ile Park maintenance yard, Don Tyerman discoverd a monarch chrysalis. It was still green in color.
Nov. 2/05 - I've just received word of another monarch sighting today (Nov. 2) at Presqu'ile Provincial Park near Brighton, ON. However, this monarch appeared to be wearing long johns! Seriously, it is a sunny day and the radiant sun could have easily warmed a butterfly up to flight temperatures.
