Signs of Fall

Date: 11/01/2005

Number: 1

We are still having robins arriving in the area. They are appearing on the
lawns in our subdivision after flying over Lake Huron. In the last group, on Oct. 24, 2005, there were about 20 birds. They arrived about lunch and stayed the rest of the day eating and bathing. We have not had a frost yet, but one night last week it did get close to 34'F. The daytime temperatures are 50' - 60'F. Night time temperatures are 38' - 48'F.

November 5
More robins were in the subdivision today singing in the trees and devouring the dried berries in the trees.

November 8
More robins are in my yard today along with a dozen or so cedar waxwings.
They have been feeding on berries and checking out the lawns.
Still no frost in sight.
