Our first grade students at Meridian Elementary School planted one hundred fifty Red Emperor tulips bulbs in our landscaping beds near the front of the school on October 25, 2005. Additionally, on the outskirts of the landscaping beds they planted fifty bulbs using experimental methods. They were extremely excited about participating in this project. We had over twenty parent volunteers helping the students plant their bulbs. We can hardly wait until the first sign of Spring!
