Today I discovered a Female Monarch Butterfly nectaring on Asclepias curassavica. What is so unusual about that is it is NOVEMBER 21st! I have never seen a Monarch Butterfly here past October. The weather has been unseasonaly warm this year with highs into the 70's & lows to about 47 for the last 3-4 weeks. There is still viable milkweed available along the highway ditches & fields so maybe this is the reason also. I wonder what is the latest sighting for a Monarch in my area?
