Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/04/2006

Number: 1

Wow! The past two weeks--our forty acres has been covered in Robins. When I say covered--I mean thousands of birds. This morning I watched wave upon waves of them as they flew around the pasture, blackening the ground and making plenty of noise with their wings in flight and their chatter from nearby trees. We have never seen this many in one spot--sort of like a scene out of 'The Birds'. I am sure the recent heavy rain has something to do with it all. There is also a white robin amongst them that if I can get close enough to I will get a good picture of. Can Robins be albino? He or she has the markings of a robin, but everywhere else it is white. I have witnessed some of the other birds trying to scare it off--but it doesn't seem too concerned and has remained with the rest. This morning there were at least five different groups of Robins flying around. Every time a group lifted off--their wings made a huge amount of noise. I am talking literal thousands upon thousands of b!
