Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 01/10/2006

Number: 1

There were several hundred Robins and they were just feeding. The weather was between fronts with temps in the high 60's which is about 25 above normal for this time of year.

It reminded me of the normal Spring migration and this being the advance party that is always about a week ahead of the full bunch. The rule of thumb here has always been that when the advanced party comes through, that is effectively the end of winter with no more snow and ice and just light freezes. It is FAR too early for this year.
