The American Robin visited my backyard last year, New Year Day 2005, at 0600 and again this year 23 January 2006. I have been watching for them this year, yet they seem to have waited for the much needed rain. They arrived early Sunday morning awakening me and I was outside at 0600, breathing deeply the refreshing cool air and enjoying it so very much, and witnessed the return of the well over 500+ American Robin migration. They all looked very large and healthy, and some of them were really round fatsos! When they came to feast on the berries in my backyard and neighborhood, line up on the tree branches, roofs and fences, and blanket the grass, searching and pecking for insects and worms in the soil, turning up all the leaf mulch, which is really kind of cool, (it is quite a spectacularly noisy show), all this activity kicks all the neighborhood kitties into prey overdrive, which also brings out all the curious squirrels and the mockingbirds to see what all the commotion was about, an
