Bald eagles spend winter months here along the Illinois River and at nearby wildlife refuges/preserves. We start seeing eagles in late October-Early November. Around Thanksgiving we were up to app. 18 eagles along our Riverfront Park. The weather here has been unseasonably warm, and there are only 2-3 eagles to be seen now. This is a real bummer since our annual Eagle Festival is this weekend.
