Robin (WAVE seen)

Date: 02/05/2006

Number: 1

We witnessed one of the most incredible sights this afternoon. Hiking in a mostly oak forest we noticed the leaf clutter disturbed, but different than what turkeys create. Then we noticed the leaves moving. Hundreds and hundreds of robins were flipping leaves up foraging then moving on. The beautiful birds would fly from tree to tree, land on the ground, then fly off a little ways. We spent over 30 minutes overwelmed by the number of robins. Some were even offering a short song. The robins were everywhere. Hundreds of them. One of the top 5 nature sightings we have ever seen.
