Bald Eagle

Date: 02/05/2005

Number: 1

Saw 2 adult Bald Eagles in nest. They were feeding one baby that did not yet have feathers, but just the furry down. Could only see the baby's head. One of the adults departed the nest twice (in a 15 minute observation period) and appeared to bring back food. You could see the adults pulling at something with heads down, then raise up and be chewing on something. Soon the baby's head popped up and also appeared to be chewing.
