In-between intermittent thundershowers (downpours, actually!) at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, and just as we were leaving, a beautiful female Monarch zoomed past us, right at eye-level, so there was absolutely no mistaking her. She was like a breath of fresh air for this northerner! It's worth visiting Florida in the wintertime just to see this butterfly.
