planted bulbs at a depth of 6-8 inches in a space about 10 feet from the school building, below the window to our classroom; we staked chicken wire (1/2 inch square spaces)over the bulbs because of the large squirrel population nearby (lots of oak trees surround our space);we will measure the ground temperature as part of our daily weather observations
