While taking a break outside at work, I couldn't help but notice a flutter of activity in a heavily wooded area just behind my place of employment. I was happy to observe many robins interacting and looking for food. I estimated the number of them to be around 50 in the area I could clearly see, probably around 160 square yards in size. It was a beautiful day and unseasonably warm in the 60's. All of them were busy on the ground pecking away and most I believe were males. I have never seen so many robins in one small area before. I'm new to the robin subject, so forgive me if I've left out important points.
