Our class planned and designed our tulip gardens using skills we learned in math - measurement, area, perimeter. Then we began to dig, and we dug, and dug, and dug some more. Finally, we planted the tulips 7 inches into the ground. Most of our students predict that the bulbs will bloom sometime in April. We'll see!
