Today at school, we saw our first robin! It's a cold day, about 20 degrees. The robin was flitting from tree to tree, and was particularly interested in a tree that had berries on it. It didn't stay long. A child in class said, "Hey, last year, our first robin did the same thing! It was on the berry tree." We then wondered if it was the same male, coming early to stake out its territory. It's going to be a very cold night. We hope it finds good shelter. At least it will have a food source, if it stays around.
