The monarch was seen by one of my students. He said that it was when he had gone with his dad somewhere along the coast, just south of San Francisco. He only saw one and it was flying. He said he was sure it was a monarch butterfly and he had taken a good look at it, but he did not see others with it. It was a sunny, breezy day.
