Two birds, one singing, in shrubs. The robin was singing the song on the video.

I was surprised to see the robins because they are never plentiful on our property. Loads of mocking birds, Cardinals, blue jays but in general it seems to me there are fewer song birds than I remember as a child. Also, last year we had no barn swallows which have always set up housekeeping over the caged lights in the horse stalls. Safe from barn cats. Has anyone else reported on this?
