I was a late lunch around 2:oo in the afternoon when I looked out my kitchen window and saw a robin in the field that is between my house and the local elementary school. Within seconds one, two, three, four, five more robins joined him and began pecking on the ground. A pair of red birds watched them from a set of bushes about 5 feet away. The male red bird would flutter over to the group of robins and back. He did this several times and then just waited until the robins left. They (the robins) flew off towards the south after about 5 minutes.
