This chubby robin was sighted singing in a neighbourhood maple tree at 8 a.m.. It was a sunny,cool morning with some snow on the ground. This is the earliest by far that I have seen a robin here in Kitchener, Ontario. Last year I saw my first robin on March 27. In 2004 I saw my first robin on March 7. This one certainly is an "early bird"!
