On the University of Florida campus, high atop a tree ... brilliant!
I couldn't tell you if it was an overwintering bird or not ... in fact, sadly, the last oriole I saw was in Geneva NY about 10 yrs ago.
They are not a common visage in south FL ... but I was perusing your site and noted several north FL sitings and this jogged
my memory of that Jan. morning in Gainesville. Had to Google oriole pictures to see the female, so yes this was a male.
