Our first three tulips have emerged! They had been under a pile of snow pushed upon the plot by the snowplow from the big storm the previous week, but they did not emerge while the snow was over them. We also planted some of our bulbs in pots two weeks after we planted in the ground and have kept the pots in a dark refrigerator. Three of them emerged on Feb. 27!
