Male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD at our feeder today (02-27-06). On the early side of the average arrival date for here, but not the earliest. Wouldn't you know it. Not long after sending the message on the 1st for the year male RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD at our place a FEMALE showed up also. This is the 1st time that both sexes have arrived on the same day here and perhaps a bit early for the female.
