Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 03/03/2006

Number: 1

I had a nice shiny adult male Rubythroat this morning in Lake Jackson,
TX. It was hummer host Denis James place. This location is on Oyster
Creek, in town. It is about twelve miles north of the Gulf of Mexico,
and there is fairly strong wind from the south. It certainly looks
pretty good for a transgulf migrant.
