My jaw just dropped when I had a huge flock of cranes fly over my two acres in the sierra foothills,(I believe sandhill cranes). They circled around to wait for another flock and then they all joined together and flew due north.
They made a wonderful sound that I can't even really describe- it was just gorgeous and amazing!
