There were about 50-100 robins in the palm and oak trees in the empty lot behind our house. They were singing and making all sorts of noise rattling around in the dry palm branches. After about 10 minutes, a gust of wind came up and most of them took off, but a few stayed in the big oak tree in our backyard for a while longer.
My husband told me a couple months ago that he saw a large group of robins in our back lot also, and that they only stayed a short time. Can we assume we are a "rest stop" and that they were going south at that time and today they are on their way back north?
